The new Gitman Vintage collection has an oxford shirt for every man. This season the design group of Chris Olberding decided to bring back their favorite fabrics from the 1984 Gitman archives. Even though the line is interpreted for spring/summer 2010, they also reconnect us with several retrospective details which include original double-track stitching, chalk buttons, locker-loops, box-pleats and reissued the original “Gitman Bros. Est 1978″ label. In this collection you will find basic washed solid and striped oxfords along with a range of colourful chambrays. To make it even more difficult for us to decide, they also designed shirts with cotton madras, antique seersucker, bright cabana stripes, short sleeve formal in double-washed denim and some interesting patch work madras. Told you there is a shirt or maybe even two for every man.

You can’t have a casual leisure shirt such as the Gitman Anchor short sleeve without a good looking pair of high quality shorts. Yes my excitement for the upcoming spring/summer season continues and Penfield’s ‘Grafton’ bermuda shorts is a big part of that. The classic knee length shorts is made with striped oxford cotton, feature a zip fly, 2 front pockets, 2 button down back pockets, and a draw string around the inside of the waist. These are absolutely essential for enjoying the warm weather months.

We all work hard these days and often find ourselves striving for a bit of leisure in our lives. When we do find that spare time to sit back and relax, it’s important to be wearing comfortable clothing that suggests that we are enjoying life to the fullest and nothing is going to stop us from our moment. Normally known for their superior dress shirts, Gitman Vintage has produced a white short sleeve button down shirt with a fun anchor pattern for the days out on the sailboat or at a summer BBQ with friends and family.
