I have been using white iPod ear buds for way too long now and in need of new ones. Although ear buds are convenient in size, I much prefer bigger headphones that are durable and won’t break on me after six months. Known for their hip and stylish watches, Nixon last year decided to branch out with a range of sleek headphones. By just looking at the extremely sexy designs, these could be considered the Mercedes Benz of everyday headphones but without the expensive price tag. From the reviews it’s good to hear that they also produce decent sound. Now all they have to do is stay together, and I’ll be happy.

Ghostly Discovery is not just another iPhone application. Independent record label, Ghostly International, released the streaming radio station that uncovers their vast back catalogue of goodness for free. Instead of browsing for songs, artists or albums the application unveils music playlists based on your mood by simply adjusting a few settings according your feelings. Favorite tracks are saved directly to the Ghostly website which can be accessed anytime to play, share with friends or purchase. Ghostly Discovery gives us the chance to uncover new music or rediscover old favorites we enjoyed from the past. Did we also mention that it’s FREE! Check out the demo video after the jump…

These cool little humanoids are a new series of Headphonies by DKE. The 3″ figurines are actually portable speakers that attach to your mp3 player or gaming device. Characters are designed by various artists, plus there are a couple blank versions you can paint yourself. The audio on the Headphonies is actually better than expected and when you plug two of them in, true stereo sound can be enjoyed. They are an awesome gift for many of my friends and of course look way better than the average mp3 speaker.

One of the best collaborations this year brought together Puma and Biomega (of KiBiSi) to design a cool new series of bikes. In previous efforts the two have worked on the Puma 8 speed Urban Mobility which was a semi- folding bike that integrated a wire lock system. Clever right? Well this time around the new colorful series merges the handle bars and basket into one. These bikes are aesthetically perfect for the urban city dweller and absolutely ingenious!
