I can’t believe the first Nike Air Max 95 was released fifteen years ago as they have been a favorite of mine ever since. In that time we have seen many different updates and to kick off 2010 and the new decade, Nike decided to remix the trainer with a bit of snake skin. I know you’re either thinking right now that it is either kind of gross or pretty cool, but snake skin is nothing new to Nike and has been seen in the past. Taking a closer look, the grey tones of snake skin pattern act as a gradient between the top portion of the trainer which is black and the white sole. I think it is the best looking one next to the original release which was the popular grey with neon highlights. The Air Max 95’s could be compared to a polo shirt or a desert boot. A classic and timeless design that will continue to be admired decades from now.

One, two, three. Mos Def and Talib Kweli are back together once again with ‘History’ off ‘The Ecstatic’ (2009) album. There is no denying that everytime these two heavyweights get together people stop and take notice. Creative Control give the original black and white video a bit of a color edit making it even more visually appealing.
I have been a sports fan all my life and love when sports teams appear in throwback uniforms for a game or two throughout the season. It reminds us of the players who were there before our time and celebrates the history of the sport. Sometimes it also makes us realize that it was probably a good thing the team moved on from their old uniforms.
I rencently noticed J Crew enlisted Ebbets Field Flannels to reproduce vintage baseball caps from the 1900’s. Five legendary team caps were chosen which includes the Newark Bears, Brooklyn Tip-Tops, Los Angeles Angels, San Francisco Seals and New York Knights. Even though the last one was not a real team, the fictional uniform encompasses the virtue of baseball film, The Natural with Robert Redford. Check out the rest of the baseball caps after the jump.

Plaid was everywhere in 2009 but these new Arnold Zimberg shirts will probably keep the trend going a little longer. Zimberg is best known for working with some of the biggest brands in the business such as Givenchy, Valentino, Pucci and Geoffrey Beene. His most recent gig allowed him to design men’s and women’s shirt for popular denim company 7 for All Mankind.
More importantly Arnold Zimberg has his own collection of shirts which are decontructed and given a facelift. The new button down plaid shirts look amazing as contrasting vibrant patterns line the underside of the collar, cuffs and button flap. These are truly an eye-catching obsession.
